YuppTV - One of the World's Largest Online TV Streaming Service, is pleased to announce the launch of its First Short Film contest.
Have you ever made a short film? Are you planning to make one?
YuppTV invites filmmakers from across India to showcase their work and compete with their counterparts through this contest.

  • Short film can be in any language across any genre, Subtitled in English
  • Jury : Anurag Kashyap, Ketan Mehta, Sudhir Mishra
  • The work of top 20 filmmakers will be showcased on YuppTV.
  • Winners can walk home with cash prizes worth Rs.5 lac.

Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Singh Kashyap is an Indian film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. He has received acclaim for his realistic films, and is often regarded as the face of an emerging new wave cinema for producing numerous independent films with newcomers. For his contributions to film, the Government of France awarded him the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) in 2013. 

After writing a television serial, Kashyap got his major break as a screenwriter in Ram Gopal Varma's Filmfare Award-winning film Satya (1998). He made his directorial debut with as yet unreleased Paanch. As a filmmaker, he is known for Black Friday (2004), a controversial and award-winning Hindi film about the 1993 Mumbai bombings, followed by No Smoking (2007), Dev D (2009), Gulaal (2009), That Girl in Yellow Boots (2011), Gangs of Wasseypur (2012), Bombay Talkies (2013), Ugly (2014) and Bombay Velvet (2015).

Ketan Mehta
He has made ten feature films,seven documentaries and two television serials Captain Vyo and Mr.Yogi.His repertoire of themes includes comedy,satire, romance,violence and rebellion.Mehta's first film, Bhavni Bhavai, a Gujarati film,won him acclaim.Mirch Masala was one of Mehta's notable efforts and won him the Best Film Award at Hawaii. It was released to 52 cinemas in the United States. Mehta has also had the honour of serving as a member of the jury in various national and international film festivals.He did a biopic Sardar, on the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

Sudhir Mishra
Sudhir Mishra is an Indian film director and screenwriter known for directing critically acclaimed films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi,Dharavi and Chameli. 

Mishra has had a 30-year career with his work recognised by the Government of India by him receiving three National Awards from the President of India, as well as Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Government (equivalent to knighthood). He was one of the pioneers of the alternative independent cinema movement in India in the 1980s and he is one of the few directors from that era who has still managed to remain contemporary.
